The Star Wars Litter (5/3/2025)

Bandit x Willow

STARWARS Born 5/3/2025

Willow is a phenomenal push button dog. With a firmer hand and experience, she has proven very easy to train for stockwork. She is driven and amiable, and works better on the drive than the fetch. In close quarter work (think trailer loading) with cattle she tends to be louder than I’d like but she always gets the job done and has never been deterred from work. For other sports like obedience, agility etc. Willow is happy to do these things for hours unending and is extremely quick to pick up anything. She works best with a handler that is firm, as quick as she is, and one who keeps it fun.

Bandit was the herding and performance pick of his litter. He lives in Pennsylvaina with his owner helping him move, load and unload dairy cows. He is a quiet and independent worker with a low quick bite. He is more comfortable at the heel than the head and is all business. Bandit has an excellent off switch, and is generally more even keeled than Willow. He also has a better sense of self preservation. He wants to please his person and is happy to do it for a treat or a pat.

This was my first breeding and a linebreeding back on Willow and Bandit’s granddam AE's Playing The Odds CDX PCDX BN GN RE HT CGC TKN QW. I am hoping for the best of both these wonderful dogs!

Goals:

Work - Add more thinking/stability in stockwork while maintaining everything else.

Conformation - Improve dentition, head, feet, bone, and tighter coupling

Han Solo

First born boy

Meet Hans! Hans was the first born boy, a sizeable guy at 13.8oz. He was born napping and when we shook him awake he started screaming and hasn’t stopped since LOL Han was a fighter, he burnt more calories working for his meal than he gained consuming it. He is focused and driven but lower on the energy scale. He is the pick for stock work for this litter, his initial exposures he was extremely keen and showed nice instinct. He is my keeper for this litter.

Chewie

Second born boy

This is Chewie! Chewie was the second born and was born quite a mellow dude! He grew out of that mellowness and exchanged it for charisma. Chewie absolutely loves meeting new people and dogs. He has wonderful dog manners but with people he finds it hard to contain himself! Chewie is spritely and active, and he showed a lot of potential on his initial stock testing. He is a thinker with a strong desire to control. He went right to work on sheep and it was the calmest and most productive first sheep session I’ve ever had with a young puppy (or even most adult dogs).

Obi-wan

Third born boy

Meet Obi! Obi was born running (literally). He was a whopping 15.9oz at birth and held up the works for a bit. Obi is my performance pick for this litter. He has a phenomenal temperament. Confident, structurally sound, a beautiful mover and lots of energy and drive, what’s not to love?! Obi is such a fun puppy, he was his mothers little sheriff, often following her around and policing the other puppies. Obi showed a lot of keenness on ducks but was more careful on sheep. He will likely grow into his intensity on stock.

Boba Fett

Fourth born boy

Meet Boba Fett aka Bob! He is the fourth and smallest puppy born from out Star Wars litter. Bob was the conformation pick of the litter and has gone to live in New York. He is the lowest energy-wise of the boys. He didn’t show much interest in stock at his instinct test. He was a very easy puppy with a voracious appetite. Bob was quiet and compliant, and a bit on the softer side. His 5, 6 and 8 week stacks showed a cobby balanced puppy with a nice front, low hocks, a beautiful head and nice tight feet.

PUPDATES!

COMING SOON! WE HAVE EM, I JUST HAVE TO FIND THE TIME TO PUT THEM IN HERE xD
